NADR Call for Presentations


Submissions are now being accepted for presentations for NADR's 20th Anniversary Conference, which will be held at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar in Puerto Rico, April 5-8, 2020. Presentations should be 60 minutes long. This year we will offer break out tracks in the afternoon on Monday, April 6th and Tuesday, April 7th. The tracks will be defined as follows:

Beginner Rep - Less than 2 years of experience, has not passed or has only recently passed the EDPNA exam and is eager to hone their understanding of SSA's policies, procedures and rules and regulations. 

Emerging Rep - 2-5 years of experience, has passed the EDPNA exam, and is seeking information on business growth and expanding their representative expertise. 

Intermediate Rep - 5+ years of experience, seeking to fine-tune their skills as a representative and is interested in advanced business topics to help them stay ahead of trends in the industry. 

Advanced Rep - Many years of experience, is seeking higher level representative techniques, understanding auxiliary business opportunities, and information on business succession planning. 

Please note - if you're selected to present a break out track session, you will present on BOTH Monday, April 6th and Tuesday, April 7th.  

Topics suggested for presentation include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Marketing
  • VE/ME Cross (Advanced and Basic)
  • AC Brief Writing
  • Handling Difficult Judges
  • Winning at Initial and Recon
  • Work Incentives: Trial Work Period, Extended Period of Eligibility, Expedited Reinstatement
  • "What's New" - Recent Changes and Their Impact
  • Fee Petitions
  • Maintaining Professional Boundaries
  • Succession planning
  • Pre-hearing and Post-hearing brief writing
  • Building referral sources
  • Musculoskeletal System and Listings
  • SGA - accommodations, subsidies, Unsuccessful Work Attempts.
  • Effective Evidence Development and Prep for Hearings
  • Using MSS’s
  • SSI Resources
  • Widow(er)s Benefits and Childhood Disability Benefits
  • Best Practices (per SSA)
  • Nurturing Local Office  Relationships and Problem Resolution


If you feel like you have knowledge to share on any of the above topics, or any other topic that you think the membership would appreciate, please submit a proposal. Proposals should include a short a presentation description we could use for marketing, as well as learning objectives for the session. All submissions must be made via this form by 5:00 pm on August 6th. We will notify you of whether your proposal has been accepted.
