The Board of Trustees of SSA's OASI and DI Trust Funds have issued their 2018 Trustees Report. It projects that the DI Trust Fund reserves will be depleted in 2032 - four years later than it projected in 2017.  And the trend is expected to continue. If Congress takes no action before 2032, the Trustees project that thereafter the DI trust fund will be able to pay about 96 percent of scheduled benefits.
Let your federal elected officials know that, by acting now to provide modest increases in revenue, Congress can assure that Social Security will be able to pay full benefits to retirees, survivors and disability beneficiaries throughout this century and beyond.
